League system is very important part of football in England. There are various leagues which are organized here. The Premier League is one of important football leagues here. This was first started in the year 1992. The Football League is considered to be one of the oldest leagues in the world. There are 72 clubs which are members of the Football League. This league is further divided into Championship, League One and League Two. Other than this, there are various Reserve Leagues and Youth Leagues. There are Sunday League Football and Five-a-side Football which are not a part of organized football.
Different cup competitions are held in England. The FA Cup and the League Cup are the most important cups for which all the clubs of England play. Other than this, there is the FA Cup, FA Community Shield, League Cup, Football League Trophy, FA Trophy, FA National League System Cup and FA Sunday Cup.
