Rulers of England |
|
|
The rulers of England came into power in the year 1284 after the decline of the great Roman empire. Initially, after the Roman decline, the Saxon kingdoms asserted power in Southern Britain. However, the Wessex kings emerged as the winner in the race for power and became the rulers of England. There position was recognized by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
