Public Holidays in Scotland are the same as those observed in the rest of UK.Scotland is a nation in northwest Europe and one of the four constituent countries of United Kingdom. Apart from the mainland, Scotland also consists of over 790 islands. The only exception is the Easter Monday and late August Summer Bank holiday. These two holidays are observed in England but not in Scotland. Scotland again declares 2nd January and 6th August as public holiday. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and also its second largest city. It is also the largest financial center od Scotland.

Glasgow is the largest city of Scotland. Scotland has a highly developed open mixed economy of western style.Many large banks and finance firms have Scotland as their main center. The most important of these banks are the Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life. These two holidays are not observed in England. Given below is a list of the public holidays in Scotland:
