Christmas brings special joy to the children with Father Christmas bringing special gifts to them. The children eagerly wait to see their stockings or pillowcases full of Christmas gifts, which are opened only on Christmas days.
During the Christmas, the special Christmas Dinner is eaten at midday. Traditionally, the dinner can be taken only after the gifts are opened. Frumenty, a kind of porridge made of corn, eggs, fruits, spice, lumps of meat and dried plums is a mandatory for Christmas Eve in England. The traditional Christmas plum pudding originated from this. The special Christmas dinner consists of roasted turkey served with vegetables and sauces and Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.
During the Christmas in England the people decorate their houses with candles, Christmas trees, snowflakes, Santa Clause and a delightful atmosphere pervades everywhere.
